e-Visa Applicants have to submit all required documents and information online through the visa application portal (the link to the portal will be provided to the student by the university). Upon submitting the application and paying the application fee, the admission office of the university will check all the documents and submit them to the Hong Kong Immigration Department on behalf of the student. The Immigration Department will then process the application. The student will be informed about his/her visa approval via mail. The student can also track the entire visa application process and know which stage of the application the visa is currently at through the visa application portal. The Immigration Department will send the electronic copy of the visa via email if the visa is granted in due time. Student Visa Those Students who want to study in Hong Kong for the long-term/Short duration will need to apply for a Student visa or an Entry permit first. The visa validity depends on their total duration of the Course/Degree.
